okay! contact us with the design/s, amount and date you need them by and we'll let you know if that's possible. if you require more than we have in stock, there's an approximate 3 week waiting time before we can ship them out. if you want custom designs, it'll be a longer timeline depending on the complexity.

would you like to collaborate on a project/design/something else?

if it doesn't involve logo design, maybe! email me at hello@rainbaomart.com with the details. i'm partial to projects that involve illustration, education, or game elements and anything that aims to be socially helpful. if it would make your local bigot angry, odds are i'm into it.

can i order custom versions of existing hong bao designs?

generally, yes! custom designs will require:

• a minimum order amount of 100 baos
• a base design fee of $20, with increases depending on the complexity of the customisation.

if that suits, please reach out with what you need and your deadline and we'll go from there.

can i commission a completely new hong bao design?

i'd love that! completely new designs will require:

• a minimum order amount of 100 baos
• an illustration fee starting at $100, with increases in complexity of the requests, design and feedback.

to give you an idea of what to expect in terms of cost vs simplicity, something like the double happiness print would go for $150, the watercolour lesbian print would be $250, while something like the double phoenix print would be around $550.

exciting! for now, please send them in using our contact form. the most popular request of each month will be made, so there will likely be a designated request portal in the future 🙌

how do i learn to draw?

great question. it would be best to know your goals and if you prefer realism or to develop a personal art style. if you are interested in realism, i'd recommend the draw a box series. if you'd like to develop a personal style, you should build up a gallery of art styles you enjoy, see if there are similarities/patterns in the things you like, and slowly try the styles you've collected in order of difficulty (easiest first!). i'll likely write a tutorial on how to plan this sort of thing out and i'll link it here when i do. if you have specific questions, you're welcome to email me at hello@rainbaomart.com 💕

what does rainbao mean?

rainbao is the "rain" from "rainbow" and the "bao" from "hong bao". bao means "bundle" or "package" in mandarin, so you could take it to mean "a bundle of rain(bows)". bao can also mean "precious/treasure", which i think certainly applies to the lgbtq+ community💗

can i edit my shipping address after my order has been made?

contact us asap with your order details and the correct address and if it hasn't already been sent out, we'll fix it for you.

will my parcel's packaging out me?

no way! your safety and privacy is extremely important to us, and all of our parcels will be plain and discreet on the outside (with all the fun on the inside. but if you WOULD like it to be fun on the outside too, let us know).

• return requests are accepted up to 14 days after receiving your order
• to be eligible for a return, your order must be in the same condition that you received it, unused and in its original packaging. you'll also need a receipt or proof of purchase🧾
• to start a return, contact us with your order details and reason for return. we will then send you instructions on how and where to send your package.
• please note that any items sent back without first requesting a return won't be accepted!
• please inspect your order on arrival and let us know immediately if it's damaged or incorrect so we can make it right.
• sale items, gift cards, special orders including custom or commissioned orders cannot be returned, so please ensure your confidence in your order before completing it.
